Help track engagement and build relationships within the membership base
Represent KEK at events and connect with members on-site

Supports the planning and execution of KEK events, including community activations, Office Hours, panels, and pop-ups.
Assist in coordinating logistics for in-person and virtual events
Help with event setup, registration, signage, and volunteer coordination
Work with staff and other volunteers to ensure smooth event flow
Attend and support events as an on-the-ground leader

Keeps KEK supporters informed about clean energy and environmental justice policies, and helps mobilize community action.
Track relevant local/state clean energy policy developments
Send policy alerts, updates, and coordinate action steps (e.g., sign-on letters, public hearings)
Collaborate with KEK staff on issue education and light-touch advocacy
Attend policy-relevant KEK events and help drive supporter engagement

Organizes and manages KEK’s general volunteers, ensuring they are trained, informed, and placed in the right roles to support events and campaigns.
Maintain a list of interested volunteers and manage outreach to them
Collaborate with other volunteer leaders to match volunteers to needs
Prepare volunteers for events (assign roles, send info, check-in)
Build a sense of community and recognition among the volunteer base

We are seeking a Social Media Manager Intern to join our team and help shape our online presence. This is a part-time, paid, hybrid (remote/office) internship that requires 10 hours per week, making it an excellent opportunity for students or emerging professionals looking to build experience in social media and content creation while making a meaningful impact. Our office is located in the heartbeat of west-midtown in Colony Square located in We Work.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute engaging social media content across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, etc.) in alignment with Klean Energy Kulture's brand voice and mission.
Plan and schedule posts using social media management tools.
Work closely with the Entertainment Division, specifically our TV/Film, Music A&R, Creative, and Digital Marketing teams, to coordinate social media posts and campaigns, ensuring a cohesive message across all platforms.
Monitor social media accounts, respond to comments, and engage with our audience to foster community growth.
Research and analyze trends, hashtags, and emerging social platforms to keep our content innovative and relevant.
Assist in creating visual content using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite to enhance the aesthetic and engagement of posts.
Assist in tracking social media metrics and performance to inform strategy improvements.
Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm new campaign ideas.
Stay informed on topics related to sustainability, clean energy, and Black pop culture to infuse these themes into content.
Qualifications:
Passion for sustainability, clean energy, and Black culture.
Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices.
Excellent written communication skills with attention to detail.
Creative mindset with a knack for storytelling through visuals and captions.
Familiarity with social media analytics tools (e.g., Meta Insights, Sprout Social, or Hootsuite) is a plus.
Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva or Adobe Suite) is a plus but not required.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
